Today is February 3, 2017 and on January 3,
1624 William Tucker was the first
recorded person of African ancestry born in the 13 British Colonies. William
Tucker was born in 1624 near Jamestown, Virginia to married African indentured
servants named “Antoney and Isabell,”.  
William Tucker was named in honor of a
Virginia Planter.
